The clinic was decorated with orange balloons, orange threads were looped together, staff had orange ribbons entwined on their wrists and dresses. The women who lead the event wore orange clothes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-fd81ba4 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"fd81ba4\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-b29e6ed\" data-id=\"b29e6ed\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e19dc95 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"e19dc95\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n<p>25th November marked the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women with the theme \u201cOrange the World: Generation Equality against Rape\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-375576c elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"375576c\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-08edc7b\" data-id=\"08edc7b\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9d6a574 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"9d6a574\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n<p>The event was organised by Calcutta Rescue\u2019s social worker and counsellor , Suchandra Chatterjee. She discussed gender-based abuse, violence, rape and even marital rape which is not a criminal offence in India. Lea Christen, a volunteer from Switzerland depicted the scenario of abuse of women in the faraway country.<\/p>\n<p>You are not alone,\u201d Lea told the women present with Suchandra translating, \u201cAnd this is not your fault. They cry. I will help you to find those opportunities.\u201d \u00a0She said to them. \u201cFinancial independence is very important.
