parents may well be illiterate, to enter formal schools is a key part of Calcutta Rescue\u2019s\u00a0<span class=\"il\">education<\/span>\u00a0programme and it currently has 75 children in this category.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">These youngsters have already missed eight months of school since all schools closed in March, and without intervention now they risk falling permanently behind.\u00a0<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-cab9092 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"cab9092\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Older age groups have adapted well to online classes run by the charity, but this age group needs face-to-face engagement with teachers who can make their first steps in\u00a0<span class=\"il\">education<\/span>\u00a0fun.\u00a0That is exactly what this new project,\u00a0<span class=\"il\">Education<\/span>\u00a0on\u00a0<span class=\"il\">Wheels<\/span>, is designed to do using songs, rhymes and fun worksheets.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-7e4b33c elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"7e4b33c\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n<div class=\"elementor-container is spending an hour a day at two slums, but the charity plans to purchase another bus with money raised by the Kolkata Covid Challenge sponsored walk in July to reach more slums and more social development of a child. The closure of our\u00a0<span class=\"il\">education<\/span>\u00a0projects that provide early childhood care and\u00a0<span class=\"il\">education<\/span>\u00a0continues to pose threat to their holistic development potential.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cWe are maintaining the proper Covid guidelines. At the entry point, children are provided with hand sanitisers.
