CR Provides Influenza Vaccines for High Risk Patients
World Health Organization (WHO) has recently estimated that every year, 290 000 to 650 000 deaths globally are associated with respiratory diseases from seasonal influenza.

ay to prevent that is to get vaccinated every year.
The novel coronavirus also falls into the flu category. Most of the symptoms are similar to common influenza. Especially if the symptoms are mild.
“Those more at risk of getting flu are also more at risk of getting COVID 19. If they have flu vaccine then the patients are protected from flu and any other problems and hospital admissions this could lead to.” said Dr Ghosh, CR’s deputy CEO,
“This vaccine is not given free of cost by any health care facilities and still not included in the National Immunization program but it’s an excellent and cost-effective way to stay safe from influenza.”
High risk groups who have HIV, diabetes, cancer, children up to 5 years of age, renal patients – post renal transplant and dialysis patients, post splenectomy and antenatal mothers have been chosen for the vaccination. Vaccination is going on every day for five-six patients.
